School Mission Statement

Our learning community as Washburn Rural High School exists to enable our members to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to meet their responsibilities to themselves and other in order to lead a fulfilling life in a rapidly changing world.

Vision Statement

The Auburn-Washburn School District will provide all children a safe, enjoyable, and challenging school environment where they have the opportunity to achieve their maximum individual education potential. All students will receive a balanced education where traditional scholastics are taught, creativity and innovation are cultivated, and life skills are learned; preparing them to assume roles as responsible citizens in a global community.

Security

WRHS is a closed campus. All doors, except the front entrance, are locked at the start of the school day. All visitors are asked to enter only through the front entrance doors and check in at the office.

There are security cameras throughout the school both inside and outside. There are also Student Resource Officers (SRO) on site.
