We would like to introduce you to the Washburn Rural High School Alumni Association, Inc. We have joined together to be of service to alumni and to support the high school. We sincerely hope that you will consider joining your fellow alumni.
- Establishing a "Hall of Fame" for distinguished alumni and faculty along with a leadership group of WRHS students.
- Supporting current high school organizations and students throughout the district.
- Maintaining and updating alumni records.
- Becoming a central contact for reunion organizers.
- Promote an interest in Washburn Rural High School.
- Reconnect graduates by brining together past and present alumni.
- Raise funds from alumni memberships and private contributions to uphold the WRHS Alumni Association objectives.
- Recognize a graduating senior with an alumni scholarship.
- Preserve historical artifacts of interest to the school for Washburn Rural High School.
In August of 2000 a six member Steering Committee comprised of Washburn Rural graduates formally addressed the Auburn-Washburn
Board of Education. After having spent the previous year researching the possibility of forming an organization to unite
Washburn Rural graduates, the Board of Education unanimously agreed to designate the Washburn Rural High School Alumni
Association Inc, as the official Alumni Association for WRHS.
