The WRHS PTO Blues Backers are a group of parents, friends, and teachers that work closely together with the high school staff and administration to establish and maintain a proud image of WRHS academic, athletic, and extracurricular activities. This is accomplished through both volunteer time and financial support.

• Raises money - makes the school go 'round!
• Does the post prom...a HUGE deal.
• Coordinates hospitality at school events - Washburn Rural style!
• Funds school projects, activities and sports - soup to nuts!
• Recognizes student achievement - the many, the proud!
• Selects and sells school spirit merchandise - rural panache!
• Operates concession stands - super size it!
• Supports fundraising efforts of clubs and groups - no more baking!
• Mobilizes volunteers - parents, friends, and teachers!
• Hosts teacher appreciation events - much applause!
• Facilitates homecoming activities - a royal event!
• PTO Blues Backers... always there for us.

• Become a Blues Backers member. (PDF)
• Attend Blues Backers Board Meetings, generally held the second Wednesday of the month at the school.
• Volunteer for Blues Backers sponsored activities, if you wish.
• Join at enrollment, school sponsored events, or by mail.
• Enjoy...knowing your dues support extra enrichment opportunities for our WRHS students.
